PDF to Text
Pull the words out as a plain .txt
Compare the text of two PDFs and download a report of every page that differs, with the lines added and removed on each one.
The two versions
This compares the text and gives you a report of what changed, page by page. Images, colours, fonts and exact layout are not checked, so two files can match here and still look different.
Scans have no text to compare. If either file is a scan, run OCR PDF on it first and compare the results.
Gone within the hour.
Files are uploaded over HTTPS, used only to run this tool, and deleted from our server automatically about an hour later. Never sold, never used to train anything.
The words. Images, colours, fonts and exact positioning are not checked, so two files can come back as identical text and still look different on screen. The report says so on every run.
Not directly. A scan has no text, so there is nothing to compare, and rather than reporting a false match the job refuses and points at OCR PDF. Run both scans through OCR first, then compare the results.
A PDF listing each page that differs. Lines only in the left file are marked with a minus, lines only in the right one with a plus. Pages that match are left out, so a small change stays easy to find.
Because editing a sentence can reflow every line after it, and each reflowed line reads as a change. The wording is usually easy to spot in the list even when the count looks high.
