Frequently asked questions
How good is the conversion?
Text PDFs come back with real paragraphs, headings, tables, and images. Heavily designed layouts (magazines, intricate forms) may need touch-ups afterwards: that is true of every converter, free or paid.
What about scanned PDFs?
Mostly scanned documents are read with OCR first (13 languages) and come back as clean, editable text rather than a photo of text. In mostly text documents, the odd picture-only page stays a picture: run OCR a PDF first if you need those pages editable too.
Are there limits?
Text PDFs convert up to 150 pages per job; scans up to 60 (the OCR limit). One PDF up to 50 MB at a time.
What happens to my file?
Sent over HTTPS, used only for this conversion, and deleted from our server automatically about an hour later. Never sold, never used to train anything.
